Khoji Kafir (B. 11.04.1932) a punjabi writer was born to Avtar Kaur and Maan Singh in village Chhabal Kalan, Tarn Taran District.
He started his career as a lecturer at D.M. College of Education in Moga (1967-1972) and then migrated to U.K. and Canada for a green pasture. He served as a Librarian at Winnipeg Public Library, Canada (1985-1997) too.
He is the son of soil and his observations of life are deep and analytical. His fiction writings relate to the agony of Punjab during the partition and the conflicting lifestyle of Punjabis settled in foreign countries. His language also gives the taste of colloquial Punjabi of majha region. He is concerned about the ignorance of a common Punjabi about the usage of correct usage.
