The desecration of the Akal Takht during Operation Blue Star brought into focus the five important Takhts (thrones) of the Sikh community. These include Patna Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, Damdama Sahib and Hazoor Sahib. A journey to these sacred shrines becomes a journey through 500 years of Sikh history and leads to a deeper understanding of the Sikh ethos and the Sikh way of life. This work is the search for truth in respect of the Sikh identity in the context of the happenings in the recent past.
