Gurbakhsh Singh (1895-1977), Punjabi novelist, story writer, essayist, playwright, journalist, visionary and founder of ‘Preet Nagar’, a unique experiment in co-operative living, was a multifaceted personality. Starting his career as a clerk, he worked his way up to become an engineer but chose to true a farmer.
