Sikhism, is the youngest amongst the religions of the world, founded in India by Guru Nanak, about five hundred and fifty years ago. A short Summary of five centuries of the history of the community is an attempt to give the new generation and the others interested in Sikh culture, an overview of their history and philosophy in the international language. Efforts have been made to give the meaning of uncommon words of Punjabi in brackets.
