This book is a bio-graphy of Guru Amar Dass, the spirit of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, manifesting through the person of third Guru. This book is divided into five chapters. The first one deals with the introduction of Sikhism in thought and in history. In Second chapter, the author recounts the historical contexts in the life of Guru Amardas. The third chapter is a critique of the given reality of Indian scene. In fourth chapter, author details the organistional measures initiated by Guru Amardass to properly and practically manage the vastly growing Sikh community, drown from Hindus, Muslims and Dalits. In fifth chapter, the historian has dwelled upon the philosophical base of the verse composed by Guru Amardass.
