K S Chawla

K.S. Chawla is a senior journalist of Punjab, who has vast knowledge of political history of Punjab. He comes from a family of journalists; his brothers G.S. Chawla and T.S. Chawla also being prominent journalists. He has been in the business of professional journalism since the early 1960s. In fact, he covered in July 1963 the inauguration of Punjab Agricultural University by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister of India. He has witnessed Punjab politics up close and has intimately studied Punjab politicians and politics. He has devoted his entire career to journalism. He served as a reputable correspondent of The Tribune well into the 21st century. Following “retirement” as staff correspondent, he has continued to make contributions on important political issues facing Punjab.
