Dalip Singh Deep (01.04.1936-14.02.1982), a Sikh scholar and Academician was born to Sant Kaur and Sham Singh in village Tapiala Dost Mohammad, District Sheikhpura, Pakistan. He was married to Devinderdeep.
He was a teacher in Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana. He wrote short stories and poetry which depict his understanding of life. Besides creative writings he has some research/critical works on Gurbani and medieval literature.
He was awarded by Punjabi Sahit Samikhya Board, Jalandhar for his work on Tegh Bahadur: Jiwan Darshan Te Rachna in 1976. Punjabi Darbar gave 'Sarbotam Puraskar Award' in 1981.
